This website is operated by Certus Energy Limited, trading as Plug In Solar Batteries. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Certus Energy Limited trading as Plug In Solar Batteries.
By visiting our website and/or purchasing something from us, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all users of the site, including customers and visitors.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. ABOUT US
Plug In Solar Batteries is a specialist UK retailer of home battery storage, solar products, accessories and related home energy technology.
Our company and contact information can be found in the Contact Information section of our website.
2. PRODUCTS AND INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, compatibility information and prices are accurate.
Manufacturers may occasionally update product specifications, software, packaging or accessories. Images may therefore be illustrative and minor differences may occur.
You are responsible for ensuring that a product is suitable for your intended use. If you are unsure about compatibility or installation requirements, please contact us before ordering.
3. INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL WORK
Some products sold by Plug In Solar Batteries require professional electrical installation, configuration, notification or approval.
Where electrical work is required, it should be carried out by a suitably competent person in accordance with applicable UK electrical regulations, manufacturer instructions and relevant electricity network requirements.
Product descriptions or guidance provided on our website are intended to help customers understand the products we sell. They are not a substitute for site-specific electrical design or professional installation advice.
Where G98, G99, DNO notification or another connection requirement applies, responsibility for ensuring the installation complies with the applicable requirements rests with the person responsible for the installation, unless we have expressly agreed to provide that service.
4. ORDERS
When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket.
We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, a pricing or listing error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised, fraud is suspected, or we cannot deliver to the supplied address.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.
5. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable unless clearly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout or otherwise communicated before your order is completed.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
6. AVAILABILITY AND PRE-ORDERS
Product availability and expected delivery dates are estimates and may change due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Products described as “pre-order”, “coming soon” or similar may not be immediately available for dispatch. Where possible, we will provide an estimated availability or delivery period.
If there is a significant delay to your order, we will contact you and explain the options available.
7. DELIVERY
We currently deliver to locations shown as available during checkout or otherwise agreed with us.
Some home batteries and other large products require specialist or pallet delivery. Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring reasonable access for delivery.
Further information is provided in our Shipping Policy.
8. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Your rights to cancel an online order and return products are explained in our Return and Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms of Service limits your statutory rights, including rights provided by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where applicable.
9. WARRANTIES
Some products include a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty duration and conditions vary between manufacturers and products.
Manufacturer warranties are additional to your statutory rights and do not replace or limit those rights.
10. SMART FEATURES, APPS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Some products rely on manufacturer apps, cloud services, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, smart meters, electricity tariffs or other third-party services.
Availability and functionality of third-party services may be controlled by the relevant provider and can change over time. Unless we provide the relevant service ourselves, we cannot guarantee the continuing availability or functionality of third-party platforms.
11. ENERGY SAVINGS AND PERFORMANCE
Actual battery performance, solar generation and financial savings vary according to factors including household electricity consumption, electricity tariffs, installation, weather, solar generation, system configuration and how a product is used.
Any examples, estimates or illustrations of potential energy or financial savings on our website are provided for general information and should not be regarded as a guarantee of particular savings or performance.

Product names, trademarks and logos belonging to manufacturers or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
Website content may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without appropriate permission.
13. LIABILITY
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For consumers, nothing in these terms limits the rights and remedies provided by applicable consumer law.
